MOPS Kids Guidelines

In order to ensure a positive experience for your children we kindly request:

  • If you are coming to visit: Please inform us if you are coming and fill out a MOPS Kids form for each of your children so we know how to best care for them.

  • If you are a Six Mile MOPS mom: in consideration of our loving childcare volunteers and workers precious time, please, inform us as soon as you know if your child will not be attending MOPS Kids on a given meeting day.

  • Please do not bring your children to MOPS Kids program if they have any of the following symptoms:

Fever (over 100F), Vomiting, or Diarrhea.

Child has to be symptom free for 24 hours, without the use of medicine, before attending MOPS Kids

Medication

For safety and liability issues, under NO circumstances can a MOPS Kids staff member administer any type of medication.  Also please remove any medication from your diaper bag prior to check-in.

Items to Bring

For Infants & Toddlers

  • Please place the absolutely necessary items into a 1 gal ZIPLOCK BAG:  bottles, pacifiers, clothing, diapers, etc. All items brought, including shoes into the preschool area, with a child should be clearly labeled with the child’s name.

  • Bottles brought into the preschool area should be unbreakable.

  • Parents should provide one diaper for each hour spent at church.

For Preschoolers

  • Please place the absolutely necessary items into a 1 gal ZIPLOCK BAG:  bottles, pacifiers, clothing, diapers, shoes, etc. All items brought into the preschool area with a child should be clearly labeled with the child’s name.

  • Please dress your child in appropriate clothing.  Preschoolers are involved in art activities and may go outside to the playground, as well.  Although every effort is made to protect clothing, occasional soiling will occur.

  • Toys should not be brought to MOPS Kids unless specifically requested by a teacher.

Drop Off/Pick Up

  • Drop Off should occur between 9:05-9:25 AM.

  • Please sign in, receive name tags, place your children's name tag on their backs.

  • Allergy Alert Labels should be completed, if necessary, and placed on the child’s back.

  • Please be sure that your child is dry and clean when you drop him/her off.

  • To minimize separation anxiety, parents are encouraged to say goodbye and leave promptly.

  • If you want to know how your child is doing, please see Tatiana Sonnenberg or let your table coordinator know, and we will be happy to go check and report back to you. It is best when parents minimize their presence in the MOPS Kids area as children, aside from your own tend to get upset.

  • Children will be brought to you to the MOPS meeting area at 11:30am by their teachers. Please alert the teachers if you have other plans for your child.
